Chambor OROSA Skin Fusion Foundation : Review , Swatch and FOTD

Hi everyone !

Wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2016 !

This is going to be my first product review and today I'm reviewing the OROSA Skin Fusion Foundation which has recently been launched in India by CHAMBOR as a part of their new luxury makeup range OROSA.

Price : Rs 1495 for 25 ml.

What CHAMBOR says about the product :

A ‘complexion perfector’, improves elasticity and firmness while visually minimizing the pores. Just a few drops gives the skin a diffused luminosity, veiling any imperfections. A feather weight fluid texture ensures a suede matte finish with a breathable second skin effect. Dermatogically tested.

  • Shake well to disperse minerals and pigments.

  • Dispense 2-3 drops.

  • Dot on forehead, cheeks, and chin.

  • Blend with fingertips into the skin.

  • Begin with a thin coat and add layers as you wish, to achieve the desired coverage

My experience with the product

It comes in a transparent bottle with a rose gold cap which is actually a dropper. I really like the look of the packaging. However the dropper wand is a headache for me as with each use, it deposits some product around the mouth of the bottle and gives a mess !

The foundation is avaiIable in 4 shades among which I am matched to the shade no. 102 (Ivory natural) which is the second lightest one.

The foundation has a very thin almost watery texture. It blends seamlessly into the skin and does a great job in terms of evening out the skin. It can easily be blended using fingers or you may use a stippling brush. The lightweight formula makes this foundation feel really comfortable on the skin. It sets into a matte finish almost immediately after application and I do not generally need to use a compact/powder on top of it. The thin, runny formula is very similar to that of the MAC face and body foundation and the SHISEIDO sheer and perfect foundation.

The foundation gives light to medium coverage which is enough to hide light pigmentation and redness. However it can be layered up for better coverage. Since the formula is matte, you need to moisturize the skin prior application to ensure an absolutely smooth and streak free application.

The wear time is pretty decent. I had to use a compact after 3-4 hours in order to manage the oiliness around my T-zone otherwise the foundation stayed on me for good 6+ hours.

In the pictures I have not used a concealer or a compact. You can see the foundation did not fully cover up my spots and blemishes but the skin looks fresh and smooth.

The GOOD about OROSA skin fusion foundation :

1. Blends seamlessly.

2. Gives a clean, matte look.

3. Evens out the skin perfectly and gives a poreless finish.

4. Lightweight texture feels really comfortable all through the day.

5. Staying power is pretty good.

6. Suitable for all skin types.

The NOT-SO-GOOD about OROSA skin fusion foundation :

1. The dropper wand turns the whole packaging into a mess. Inconvenient packaging.

2. If not moisturised well, it may look a bit patchy at the dry areas of the skin.

3. Shade range is limited.

4. Pricey.

Feminista rating : 4.5/5

Overall, I really like the formula. The matte, evened out finish that it gives works amazingly well for my skin type. The only major problem that I have is with the packaging (the dispenser actually !).

So, if you are looking for a lightweight foundation that is suitable for daily wear, gives decent coverage and stays put for hours, you should definately give it a try.
